Princesses With Purpose: Growing with God | One-Day Girls' Event (Ages 6–11)

Show every girl that time with God changes her from the inside out!

Princesses With Purpose is a one-day event for girls ages 6–11 that helps every girl grow a godly sense of self-worth and see the beauty God created her to bring into the world. The girls come dressed up, the room is made beautiful just for them, and the women of your church teach, serve, and sit beside them all day long. Biblical womanhood is woven gently through every teaching, small group, and activity, so the girls see it lived out, not just explained.

Growing with God is about letting God work in us to change us. A caterpillar doesn't stay a caterpillar, and a girl who spends time with God doesn't stay the same either. As she invites Him into her everyday life, just like Esther did, He makes her bolder and grows a beauty that comes from the inside (2 Corinthians 3:18, NIV).

The Day at a Glance

• Teaching 1: Lessons of the Butterfly, Beholding Is Becoming (2 Corinthians 3:18, NIV). Girls learn how a caterpillar becomes a brand-new creation, and how God changes us as we respond to Him, draw near in our hidden place, and keep our eyes on Jesus.
• Teaching 2: Queen Esther, Made for Such a Time (Esther 4:14, NIV). God placed Esther right where she was for a purpose. She asked for His help, and He made her brave. He has placed each girl on purpose too.
• Object Lesson: Lessons of a Rock. A plain, bumpy rock hides sparkling crystals that grew slowly in a hidden place. Every girl cracks open her own geode and takes it home in a butterfly box.
• Activities: an oil pastel and watercolor butterfly painting where her butterfly "appears" through the paint, crown decorating, three ice breakers, and the photo booth.
